Beijing Olympics 2008

The Olympics has been on for 11 days now and coverage has been on the main terrestrial channels over here and interactive services. I see its USA v China for the top spot in the medals table but there's been some great races. Anybody else been watching a lot of this?

i watched some, but not alot. there was alot of buzz about that swimmer guy..... ummm.... michael phelps. that was pretty interesting. the rest i only saw bits of.

Being gone last week on vacation in the wilderness of Yosemite, and being in Texas this week for a business trip, I've only caught parts of the Olympics. Whatever is on when I happen to be near a TV.

I've seen some of the tennis, some beach volleyball, some field hockey, track, swimming and gymnastics.

What's been your favorite event so far?

Its been a pretty exciting Olympics I think, especially for Great Britain finishing 4th. I've enjoyed the track cycling, athletics, basketball and the volleyball was good. Usain Bolt is something else though, those 3 golds and 3 world records are incredible.

I struggle to watch some of the sports at the Olympics though, like the football. Its just not as exciting as the World Cup. Also, the swimming isnt that exciting when you know Phelps will win anyway, all credit to him though for 8 gold medals, that's extraordinary.
