Post Elder Scrolls IV preview

RPGVault spend some quiet time giving Oblivion a cavity search, and finds nothing but gaming joy, and pretty pictures.

Having just returned to the world of Morrowind myself, after a two year break, (almost to the day, disturbingly enough) it’s amazing how well the older title still stands up. It still looks good. It still offers perhaps the most unique single player RPG experience out there, which in an era of multiplayer obsessed titles, is a rarity. Oblivion is looking like it will continue that trend. It seems very much a case of if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Oblivion, from the small amount we’ve seen, seems to offer more of what made the first Morrowind such a fantastic title, without the developer hyperventilating about all the crazy new stuff they can put in.
