As you may recall, the rumors were floating around earlier this year that Netflix and Microsoft were working on a deal to provide streaming movies via the Xbox 360. Well at E3, Microsoft has confirmed it!
Under the agreement, Netflix's Watch Instantly streaming-movie service will be playable on televisions connected to the console without any additional software or hardware.
What does this mean? If you're already an Xbox Live Gold subscriber (like I am) and you're a Netflix subscriber (like I am), you'll be able to watch any of the over 10,000 titles in Netflix's movies on-demand library anytime -- for no additional charge!
The service is expected to be available beginning early this fall. Buttered popcorn not included.
