Microsoft has finally released some details on the
Chatpad Messenger Kit they announced back in May. This chicklet keyboard plugs right into your existing Xbox 360 controller and gives you a full QWERTY-style keyboard.
The Chatpad is specifically being marketed to make it easier to instant message other Windows Live Messenger users (a service introduced back in May). The Chatpad Messenger Kit should be
available September 4.
Personally, I would much prefer to have something like this than a full-sized keyboard cluttering up my media room. When I'm gaming, I'm not doing a whole lot of typing, but being able to type is a definite convenience -- well worth the $30 bucks in my not-so-humble opinion.
What do you think?
