The next installment of the Myst series has been announced in an official, yet unofficial manner. The new title got the curtain raised on the Myst Worlds forum, instead of a press release. Randomos, the Community Manager, writes, “Due to the tremendous loyalty and spirit of the Myst community, and our appreciation for your involvement through the years of development of the Myst series, we are making this announcement to you first, before the official Press Release.”
It’s a nice gesture. The last game in the series was highly praised by the game media, which is usually a bit snotty about the mainstream, “casual” game. No more details have been released. Look for a press release soon.
