Xfire publishes game stats
Xfire has begun publishing stats of the most popular games played by Xfire users. For December, the top three were:
  1. World of Warcraft (no surprise there)
  2. Counterstrike Source
  3. Call of Duty 2, multiplayer
Sure, it's only tracking stats for Xfire users, but they've got a big enough community to provide a pretty reasonable sample.

No real surprise with the top two. Warcraft and Counterstrike have been insanely popular for ages!

i just hate first person shooters, and i played cs once and hated it the most out of all of them.
and wow, well... because everyone and their daughter play it.
