I just read that GT4 is going to take up a dual-layer DVD instead of 2 regular DVD's, like they had planned in the beginning. There's also more than 700 cars in the game!

Who's going to get it when it comes out?

I'm not sure, I think that maybe the've gone too serious on GT4. Getting penalties for nudging a opponent? That will just be annoying in important races.

I did like GT3 but I never want to do all the licenses (thanks to GT:Concept I didnt have to). I saw in a magazine a new 'director mode' which makes you a team manager in charge of 3 cars. You have to tell them when to increase their pace, but you have to make sure their tyres will last and other commands like that. That looks quite interesting.

I think its due out in the UK about mid-December (19th I think)

The licenses test ur skill at the game.
if u can pass taht u should deserve to drive is the point.
im sure that only some of the races will invovle that nudge deduction.
but its gonna be a great game!

About the licences, my point is that you can be 0.1 out of the time slot and you fail. How annoying is that? Especially if it keeps happening. The GT: Concept licenses were much better, which tested your overall skill at the course, not how you take 1 or 2 corners in a crappy car which has a top speed of 50mph . You did at least get the choice of a couple of cars as well.

Also, GT4 is due out (in the UK) on the 14th December, not the 19th.

well, yea that does get annoying but it makes u more skilled in the very end. if u ask me i think the results improve ur driving skills in the game.

It puts people off playing the game is what it does. If it gives me a car that has FR drive which has a top speed of about 100 mph and i have to do half of Grand Valley speedway in 1 min 10, its going to take a long time to get it perfect to get a bronze. I dont like FR drive cars and that top speed is going to get me nowhere near a decent time. It'll mean taking every corner perfect.

AHH! They delayed the release date! It's not going to come out in Japan until December 28, so that means it won't get here until January, or maybe later. Gah, that means I can't get it for Christmas any more!

I wonder why they delayed it... Delaying it until after Christmas means that they miss out on the biggest holiday, as most of the games bought in a year are bought at this time... Must be something pretty big to force a delay. :/

Yeah, I heard they were practically done with it already too. Better be worth the wait.
