Well I have heard alot about this so called PS2 Mini. I heard is is 2x smaller than the Normal PS2 and it comes with a network adapter built in so there will be no need to buy one!! That is a great feature add-on.. But what I was wondering is.... Will it have worse performance than the older PS2. I think that because it got way smaller and the weight is lowered. Well to me that says that they might have taken things out from the PS2 which might lower the performance. Such as worse graphics, speed, etc. Well... If you found anything interesting please post. Well... The real name for this is The Playstation (SCPH-70000 CB) Model. But I call it the PS2 Mini.

[INFO]

Internal volume of PS2 Mini is reduced by 75%, Overall weight has been halved, and thickness is 2.8cm (thickness of Older PS2 model is 7.8cm). Its size is almost as small as a hardcover book, making it easier to carry around.

If you'd bothered to check the forum before you posted, you would have noticed we already have a topic about this.

And no, performance is not lowered in any way. They do not take anything out of the PS2. As technology improves, they can make components smaller and more lightweight. Internally, it has the same specs as a normal PS2. The only differences are cosmetic, and the inclusion of the network adapter.

The only thing that isn't good about the new PS2 is that it can't use the HDD. But it's not like that's going any where fast, so it doesn't really matter.

The HDD isn't even out in the UK, so no great loss to me.

As soon as I saw the SlimPS2, I said Ehh...No. I really hated how the disc tray wasn't motorized. I always keep my PS2 on a bookcase, and on its side, so the SlimPS2 wouldn't be too practical for me.
