Help test our prototype homepage

We have a semi-functional prototype for the GetGamer homepage located temporarily at http://www.getgamer.com/cmps_index.php

Please check it out and give us some feedback on what you like, what you'd like to see done differently, etc.

It's pretty nice. I think there should be a sidebar or something with the different areas in it, and when there is important info or other things, the admin could put it in the appropriate section so that visitors can find what they are looking for faster. Also, it looks a little too plain. Not saying that plain is bad.... I like how there are the recent topics on the side, a poll, the active members thing too. It's pretty nice overall though.

I think this homepage is good, but there is a couple of things i think should be done:

The info on the left (active users, buddies online, etc.) i think should go on the same bar that says about your last visit. When you highlight with your mouse (click on it), it info should come down like the 'file' bar on Microsoft word etc.

Also this might leave room for quick access to forums like PS2 or Xbox or more room for news.

It also looks a bit 'plain' in a way it either needs some sort of background pic or more colour to it.

i think for the banner should not be the same as the forums and that will take out the arcade users from the people that want to actually talk on the forums. other then that its good.
