hi guys just wondering how many of you are getting a ps3 on launch day, not sure if i should wait for an xmas price drop!

No chance of getting one. Firstly, I don't have that kind of money. Secondly, I don't think it's worth it. It's not got a single game I really want to play. Think I'll wait till something worth my time is released, like FFXIII

Even if i did happen to have £425 in my back pocket i still wouldn't buy the PS3. It's just not worth it at the moment and the price will have to drop at least once through the year. Also, the games aren't exactly making me rush out to buy one. In fact, i'm not exactly sure what all of them are

One of the guys here at GetGamer (Id) bought a Sony PS3 when they came out in the U.S. back in November -- then resold it online for a $1000 US. He also bought a Wii -- which he kept.

I hear alot of people say that it isn't worth it. Cause its so expensive and stuff. But look at it this way. Anyone of you know how much a Blue ray DVD player is? Its alike 1k$ for one... thats freaking crazy. So 600$ is a very nice deal for a ps3. Also that games that are suppose to come out for it will be pretty fun.

All in all, theres a lot of people who didn't want a ps3 cause of the price, but they didnt know what they were getting.

It's still not worth getting one... yet. When blu-ray players become more abundant, the price will drop. Also, i dont think i've seen a shop advertising blu-ray disks and the only advert i've seen for a blu-ray player is in the paper.

The fact that people are that desperate to get a PS3 and are ready to spend $1000 US on it is rediculous. A nice healthy profit margin though if you can get one to sell.
