Spike TV Video Game Awards

I'm trying to score some tickets to the taping of Spike TV's Video Game Awards (http://www.spiketv.com/#events/vga2006/index.jhtml). The taping is this Friday night up in LA. The 2006 VGA are hosted by Samuel L Jackson (who is sick and tired of motherfucking snakes) and will feature performances by Tenacious D (yeah!) and AFI (meh).

If I am successful in my mission to score tix, I'll file a full report this weekend.

If you're interested, you can also sign up to play with Halflife online with some of the celebs (Seth Green, 50 Cent, Tony Hawk, Eva Mendes, etc.) at the show via Xfire (http://www.xfire.com/cms/vga/).

AFI is ok... but Tenacious D is great!

Unfortunately, I couldn't get the tix. I'll be watching the simulcast online with everyone else. :/

Its a shame it's on at 10pm as that'll be about 3am in the UK. I like the halflife idea though, that would be really good if i could actually play halflife and my internet wasn't AOL.

Although you're not going to see it live, we could get a list of winners.
