The Nintendo Wii is due for release on December 8th. Is anyone planning to get one at launch?
It looks like it could be a extremely good success, due to its originality and its cheap price compared to the Xbox 360 and PS3. However, will that controller work well with all types of games, like a soccer game? I think that's the only problem it may have.

I don't know why, but i thought that the Wii's release was on the same day everywhere. Must have got confused somewhere... Eventually they'll look at Europe as an important market.
I think the controller looks good and if it works well enough then it may get copied by other companies (Dual Shock 3?). I just think a more traditional controller, like a Dual Shock, would handle some games better. It may be more fun on the wii though!
