New PC Specifications

I'm getting a new PC soon and i want it to be able to play games such as Medevil:Total War and C&C:Tiberium Wars. Can anyone recommend what sort of specification's i'd need and an estimate price?

is it a computer for gaming mostly? or just those games. Cause depending on the type of reasons is what i can reccomand. AMD is for games and intel is for media and web browsing capablities. atleast of 1gb of ram. and a nvidia graphics card, perferably dual sli capabilities. add a 100+ gb hdd. asus mothr board with 939 sockets or the correct socket for which u proccessor u want. if u need links say something i will look some stuff up for u since i build compters.

Its not a computer just for gaming, but i just want it to be able to play top quality PC games, unlike the computer i have now, which can hardly run Civ III and only has 20GB hard drive. Civ III was hardly the most demanding game either for a computer. I'd just like a good standard computer that wont explode if i ask it to run something like Medevil total war.

I'M BACK!!

My laptop is finally fixed. It only took 2 months to replace the RAM. The incompetence of tech support amazes me.

Tip: Do not get your computer from mesh. They will destroy it.

Sasimi's advice sounds good. A lot of ram and fast processor will help. Graphics card with at least 256mb of memory maybe?

memory for the graphics card isnt all thats important for it. you have to look at its clock speed too. But yea if u wanna run games at top speed get a amd 64 4800+ or a amd FX. go with nVidia, and corsair dual 1gb ram or 2 gb ram. Get a asus motherboard that corresponds with your processor. any hdd will work.

Get a 3ghz+ processor with at LEAST 1gb of RAM for today's games and gaming requirements..
