View Full Version : Need your opinion on avatars

What kind of avatars do you want to see in the library? Any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure we'll allow custom avatars as well, but we'll probably require you to make some number of posts before you can do this (just so we get serious members and not people who sign-up and never show up again). So how many posts do you have to make before you're a "serious" member? 10? 20? 100? 1000?

Well, you DEFiNiTELY need to have gaming avatars, since this is a gaming forum. :p Maybe some cartoons and anime stuff.


Hmmm.... A serious member.... Maybe around 50 posts? Since this site is just starting out, you could maybe lower it a little.

I think it should be like BBB, where you need 100 posts for a custom avatar. The libray avatars? Probably gaming ones mainly like Hurricane said...

GetGamer doesn't have as much of a professional background as say Bigblueball does. With that said, I don't think you should worry about putting a post count on how many you need to have before getting a custom avatar. Besides, this is a gaming community.. it's better to have a unique avatar.

You have a point Detn8r, but i think, like BigBlue said, the post count is needed so we dont get members who just sign up and then leave.

I think, roughly translated, hes saying that you should only need 50 posts to get a custom avatar as hes been on BBB for 3 years and only got 27 posts...

Some of my suggestions is that you should start putting in some 3d ones. You should also add some gaming ones too like PS2, Xbox, etc. Stuff that will represent what you play or what you use to play.
