Post Will El Mariachi head to the PSP?

Our cohorts at Cinematical have alerted us to an IGN interview with Robert Rodriguez, the film-maker behind Sin City, the indie philm phenom El Mariachi and the follow up, starring Johnny Depp, Once Upon a Time in Mexico. His latest interest is taking the unexpected dark hero of the blind-gunfighter to a video game designed for the PSP. The question is, within the growing world of film franchise games, has there been a game inspired by a small-budget indie? And... if the gunfighter in the game is blind, can we somehow play the game blind as well? My thoughts turn to 5-1 sound and other cues directing our attention and our fire power, while those connected to the game, via WiFi, could witness our rampage. Think Different.
