Now this is ambitious. What started as a few Halo maps recreated from Ocarina of Time turned into a huge project to emulate the gameplay experience of Legend of Zelda. The Legend of Zelda Online is promising to feature fluid third-person to first-person camera work, a Z targeting system, fleshed out weapons (his trusty sword and hookshot, for example) and “vehicles” (horses and owls), all with custom animation that fits the theme. Very cool, and I hope they get it all to work. The mod is set to come out “sometime between now and forever”, but it seems to be coming along pretty well, judging by the screenshots and videos, so maybe not too long of a wait.
